EESV is the abbreviation for European Economic Cooperative Bond
("Europees Economisch Samenwerkingsverband").
Just like the ESV, it is an organisation with incomplete legal personality that offers enterprises the possibility to form a legally independent cooperative entity (of limited or unlimited duration) for the purpose of facilitating, rationalizing, and developing its members’ economic activities. The biggest difference between these legal forms is that the EESV combines the entities of different member states, which, in principle, is not the case with the ESV. The EESV is fiscally transparent: in what concerns income tax, it is deemed not to possess a legal personality so that the results of those cooperative bonds are taxed only as profit or gains on the part of the members. This type of enterprise can be formed by private act. |
