On request some periods of inactivity can be equated with periods of activity.
For some periods this can be done free of charge, for others you will have to pay.

Equalization free of charge

• study periods before 1957
• military service periods
• periods of illness or disablement
• periods of preventive custody
• periods of voluntary interruption of the self-employed worker's activity in case of grave illness of his/her child or in order to provide palliative care to his/her child or partner

Equalization at a charge 

• study periods after 1956 (apprenticeship contracts included)
• periods covered by voluntary contribution payments (continued insurance )
• periods of effective assistance as spouse of a self-employed person
