If you want to keep on working after your retirement and you
want to claim a retirement pension for families, you must declare
all professional activities that may produce an income in advance. This is also the case
when you make an appeal to an intermediary or when you keep on
working abroad. In principle also your husband/wife must suspend
his/her professional activity.
The activity must be declared within a predefined term.
If you do not declare the
professional activity or you declare it too late,
sanctions will be imposed.
To which institution the
professional activity must be declared, depends on your situation.
- You only receive a pension for self-employed persons
You must declare your professional activity to the NISSE.
- You receive a pension for self-employed persons, as well as
a pension for employees
You must declare your professional activity
- either to the NISSE
- or to the National Pension Agency
The declaration submitted to one institution will automatically
also count for the other organisation.
- You receive a pension and exercise a professional activity
as an employee
You must inform your employer
that you receive a pension.
Your employer must then inform the competent pension agency.
Attention! This rule does not
apply if your husband/wife works as an employee and you enjoy a
retirement pension for families.
