Ordinary child benefit
The ordinary child benefit is granted to all children entitled to child benefit, whatever their age or the social category of the rightful claimant.

Increased child benefit
The ordinary child benefit can be supplemented or replaced. There is an increased child benefit for:

Age supplement
In principle, there are supplements to the ordinary and the increased child benefit which are related to the age of the child.


Annual complement to the child benefit (school bonus)
To lower the impact of the educations costs on the family budget, an annual supplement to the ordinary or increased child allowances (school bonus) will be granted in 2009. This applies to all children for which, no later than 31 December 2008, an entitlement to family allowances exists.
