A pension for married people or a family pension is a retirement pension and is paid to someone who is married.
His or her spouse:

• is no longer exercising an unauthorised professional activity
• cannot benefit from a retirement or survivorship pension as a result of the pension plan for self-employed persons, as a result of another Belgian or foreign pension plan or as a result of the status applicable to staff members of a public international institution
• cannot receive any benefits granted due to illness, disablement, involuntary unemployment or career break and on the basis of a Belgian or foreign social security legislation
