"Article 37" refers to the possibility offered by article 37, §1 of the implementing order with regard to the social status of the self-employed, to self-employed persons whose self-employed activity is their principal activity and with a limited income. They can ask to be regarded as self-employed persons, whose self-employed activity is merely a secondary activity. This is the case for all self-employed persons who are in some way already protected by social security rights, which are at least equivalent to those of the self-employed status. Also students and certain political mandataries are eligible for this.
